Well I'm sorry but I think I'm partly to blame for that debate. It started off
with someone asking what do I do if my mages start to get loaded down with
spell locks. Me and lots of other people mentioned that you can ground spells
through spell locks and thus destroy them. I also added a tidbit of info I got
from this list which was a brief question and answer session that someone had
with Tom Dowd. One of the questions asked was 'Can you ground spells through
quickenings ?' The answer went more or 'less why not ? But only physical spells
and they don't have an area effect.'

Now don't get me wrong I don't necesarily agree. In fact I would have thought
that only mana spells would be able to be grounded through a quickening (still
no area effect though). Anyway not for the likes of me to argue with God On High
so I jotted down his comments and sent them in with my reply to rec.games.frp
.misc.

Unfortunately I seem to have lost the file with those comments though I suspect
I have a print out somewhere at home. Could the original poster confirm/deny
these comments ?
