I believe that a quickened spell can act as a channel for grounding spells,
it's biggest advantages is that it does not leave an astral link to the caster
(Provided that he wasn't casting it on himself) like a spell lock does, and it
cannot be removed as easily as a spell lock either. Remember that ANY
mage/adept can remove a spell lock as a simple action (Complex action in a
combat situation, most people _will_ try to stop you from touching them if they
are in a fight with you....)
Disclaimer... I am at school currently, don't have any of my books, and have
just recently gotten Grim II. I still tend to think in terms of
SR I and it should be understood that my answers will reflect
this. Also I can make mistakes.
