This post is both an inquiry and a suggestion: Are there any
women subscribing to this listserv? It doesn't matter except that I will
be writing "Ladies & Gentleman" from now on in my posts if there are. . .I
only began thinking about this when the Real Men-Munchkins list came out
and I wondered about how a woman might react to the list.
Don't worry, I haven't gone PC on you and I realize it's a joke.
I have seen women who act or play like Real Men. And I cerainly fall under
Real Role-Player more thatn any other character. I simply began thinking
about the situation and find it intriguing.
Note: In my GURPS Cyerpunk campaign (set in far-off 2093) I
remember writing something about how the term "wife" didn't neccessarily
pertain to the female in a relationship, but rather the person in the
traditional female role. Shadowrun is of course not the best place
for sociological comment, but if any are interested in discussing the
change in society from now to tomorrow, whether it be from technology,
magic, or Lederhosen, please send mail to me and perhaps we could
take it private.

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
