universities chemistry department) recently had a seminar that discussed the
sythesis of several of the toxins the frogs secrete. I don't remember the
name of the of the frog, but the toxins mentioned were (-)-pumiliotoxin C and
gephyrotoxin. I don't if this interests anyone but I couldn't resist showing
off some of my very limited knowledge.
P.S. DMSO is real chemical and is readily absorsed through the skin. One word
of caution though as everyone is thinking up neat things to put in it. Not
everything is soluable in DMSO, and if it's not soluable it won't go along for
the ride as DMSO passes through the skin.
