Additional Ammunition Options
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

>>>>[ OK, Quiky. You can have me file on Ammo. Jist remember you still
ain't gonna get me to give ya anythin' 'bout those military spec.
bots. Kapeesh, Ya lil' dandy? ]<<<<

>>>>[ Oh Mickey! If you weren't so short, metallic, and smelly... I
might consider kissin' ya. Folks, here is some info. on ammo. options,
both civilian, corp., military, and street. Use 'em in health.]<<<<
--Quiktek<02:37:04/03-26-54>

The conventional firearm round found throughout the world hasn't
changed much in the last 100 years. Typical rounds are designed for
good penetration and high damage potential. The "Hollow Points" of the
20th century are now the common rounds of the 2050's. These high
tissue damaging rounds flatten out on impact and produce highly
damaging results. The common result is large tissue areas being
totally destroyed. Below is a survey of some of the "uncommon"
ammunition that is available legally/illegally around the world. These
rounds take there own approach to tissue damage.

>>>>>[ I really don't think that the standard round of the 2050's is the
Hollow Point round. They do lots of tissue damage, but they just suck for
penetration purposes. ]<<<<<

Incendiary Rounds (IR)

These rounds are made of a highly inflammatory phospherous derivative.
The result when fired is that the checmical burns, thus "burning"
through flesh, armor, and even bone.
Effect: +1 to Power, -1 to Ballistic

>>>>[ Nasty.... Look at it this way though chummers - your wound would
be cauterized. ]<<<<
--CrossFire<20:50:05/03-30-54>

>>>>>[ Ouch! ]<<<<<

Generic Armor Piercing (GAP) - a Predecessor to APDS

These rounds made from neo-composites, i.e. Teflon-Mesh, and Kelvora
7, are very affective against conventional armors. The successor to
these rounds is the APDS (tm) Ammunition that has recently become so
very popular. Unlike APDS, GAP was made for armor penetration solely.
Effect: -2 to Ballistic

>>>>>[ Just what I was looking for. AP ammo that's not impossible to
find. ]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:23:23/04-06-54>

Armor Piercing Incendiary (API)

Armor Piercing Rounds with a soft Incendiary Tip are the general
category of these rounds. These rounds are made for _Heavy_ damage.
Effect: +1 to Power, -2 to Ballistic

>>>>[ They ain't kiddin' chumma. These rounds are hot, hard, and can
make livin' damned annoying. Gettan hit wit one of this is like
pourin' salt into a wound, GOOD the first time few clicks, but it
starten to hurt real quik. ]<<<<
--Mickey<03:42:20/03-25-54>

>>>>[ Getting your hands on these is harder than stealing an
Aztehcnology Banshee from their Los Angeles installation.... I know, I
haven't seen these out since I saw a clip that was originally lifted
from some UCAS trooper. *(Hey! I just wanted out! - It was just the
first vehicle in the hanger.)* ]<<<<
--CrossFire<20:52:03/03-30-54>

>>>>>[ Just what I always wanted with Ouch. Now we're playing with fire.
]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:26:07/04-06-54>

Armor Piercing Fletchette (APF)

These rounds are made in the fashion of GAP rounds but are sculpted to
tear and split the flesh like needles, not like bullets. The low weight
and high number of projectiles incorporated in these rounds makes these
rounds deadly to even heavily armored targets.
Effect: +1 to Wound Level, Highest Rating of Ballistic OR Impact Armor
is used, not 2x Impact as with normal Fletchette.

>>>>>[ Oh my God! Useful Fletchette ammo! ]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:26:54/04-06-54>

Uranium Depleted (UD)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Just a proposal from Quiktek and CrossFire. What do ya think.
Effect: +2 to Power, -2 to Ballistic, -1 to power for each range category
beyond the first, -25% to maximum range.

>>>>>[ The pain! The agony! But why are you reducing the range?
]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:27:59/04-06-54>

Chemical Rounds (CR)

These rounds have a hollow point which is designed to carry a small
amount of a toxic chemical. When the round flattens out, the chemical
is released into the bloodstream. Common toxics used are Mercury,
Cyanide, and Striknine (SP?).
Effect: Varies with chemical used, Use best of Balistic or 2x Impact for
Resistance, -2 to Power. This does not count for the chemical.

>>>>>[ Somebody could get killed using this stuff. Now how much damage
would
all those nasty toxins do? Oh, do you have them with insecticide? ]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:28:45/04-06-54>

Diamond Tipped (Dikote (tm)) (DTR)
Effect: Armor is ignored, -2 to Power.

>>>>>[ We're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz.....
]<<<<<
-- Nightstalker <20:30:03/04-06-54>

Silver Tipped (STR)
Effect: Silver Reaction for Allergies, -1 to Power, 2x to Ballistic

>>>>>[ You don't like Metahumans much do you? But then again these would
be
useful for killing rogue Shapeshifters. ]<<<<<
