because it continues to burn. It burns underwater. It burns
while still in the human body. A nurse friend of mine who
was in Vietnam said that they had to put patients in a tub of cool
water and turn out the lights so that they could remove the WP.
While in water, apparently the reaction with O2 is diminished and
the water also provided a stationary medium for the light given
off.
