pg 84 of sr2(7901):

"An attack is considered to be a complete miss if the successes earned
purely from the combat pool exceed the successes earned by the attacker."

In SRI, it states that only the dice from the combat pool can cause a complete
miss, causing stun damage weapons to be negated...
