wait, i tthink we are missing one major point here...ritual magic
is historically practiced over the years because, think about
it, everyone knows spells are not possible now.....but by putting
a lot of effort into the spells, one gets a sence of needing reward for
time spent...when have you ever done anything really complex (to our minds)
that came quickly...not all that often, right? so, peoples tried more and more
deeper rituals. The way i look at it, when magic came back, it altered the
minds of mages and shamans to deal with the complexity, and mase non-
ritual magic possible.
