I suspect, Brian, that what you've seen is Lin Carter's "tribute" Necro.
which I mentioned in my last mailing. Just a bunch of Arabic looking pages
repeated over and over again (I forget if they actually say something, or
are just nice-looking giberrish). Look for his name in the intro.

As for Lovecraft lying -- hey, he's dead, it's kinda tough to call. I would
say that if you do enjoy his works, get ahold of his collected letters and
learn some behind-the-scenes stuff. Not only are they informative, they're
also fun to read (almost as fun as Groucho Marx's correspondance, but that's
*really* off-topic).

Yeah, I've met a whole bunch of the same sort up here in North Dakota --
it's my home state, btw, so it's not like I had a choice, okay? :-). By
and large, I've found those sorts to be fascinating to talk to, fun to
be with in certain moods, and by and large pleasantly clueless. Which
doesn't mean that I'm going to try and take their worldview away -- but
it also has never stopped me from telling them mine, since fair's fair,
right?

By and large, I wouldn't worry about magic, what with drive-by shootings,
drug wars, pollution, and Cthulhu having been proven to exist. Hold on.
Something in that previous sentence just appeared -- I didn't type it, really!

"Up from the depths
Forty stories high
Breathing slime--
His head in the sky!!!

Cthulhu!
Cthulhu!
CTHULHU!

...and Cthooky!..."
