No, the mage has _cybereyes_, not retinal enhancements. This means that he
has replaced his entire organic eye with a cybernetic, ergo, electronic, eye.
Anyone out there have the SSC? (I don't)

Wait. Just a second here. This doesn't make any sense to me. Cybereyes means
that his entire visual receptors have been replaced with electronic ones. I
thought you were argueing that electronic magnification didn't work because
you saw a processed image, but, needless to say, that ie exactly what a cybereye
would give. The entire retina and everything has been replaced. Essentially,
you have a camera there.

Umm.. It does say so in the rules. Read the descriptions in the SSC. I have
a partial photographic memory, and I recall that passage is indeed there.

] The text (SR2, p.130) explicitly says that any sort of cybereyes which
] the mage paid essence for counts as his own eyes for the purpose of

Looks to me like, via the rules and Quincunx, I did. =)

No, that would fall under bioware. These are cybernetics.

If they can see through some walls - they certainly can see through a measly
blindfold. Dead cotton weave. No aura persay.
