I've just thought of something else.

When I used to play MERP a while ago it said that players could only be
orcs and trolls if the adventure was set in the 4th age i.e. after the
down fall of Sauron. The reason for this was that orcs and trolls were
easily controlled so Tolkien wasn't racist but was saying that orcs and
trolls have low willpower, which is true.

Unfourtunately this isn't important as far as SR goes as not many people
have read more of tolkien than _The Hobbit_ and/or _The Lord of the Rings_
even less in 2054.
