on an idea that my GM has come up with. Since most of our group likes
some of the weapons and vehicles of today, he put a military surplus
establishment into our game. We have gotten some very usefull items
from this business. For example instead of the shadowrun sniping
rifles, we have found that a semi-auto Barrett 50cal. will get the
job done with one shot very nicely. Even though this weapon gives off
a very loud report, with an extreme range that far exceeds that of
the Ranger SM3 we do not even have to worry about it.
Putting a business of this sort into the shadowrun world really
has made our lives much more interesting.
Secondly, we make great use of both the party and personal Karma
Pools. You can have your skill of 6 then add 6 for combat pool
and then add 6 more from each of the Karma pools. Feasibly
quadrupling your dice. Although this has never happened according
to SRII it is possible since all pools are seperate.
Now you shoot a Troll with a Barrett 50cal rolling 24 dice, and
he will go down!
For those of you wondering our GM runs a very HIGH POWERED game
in which every thing rolls a lot of dice just for the sound of
a large handful of dice hiting the table.
