I got a copy of the new SRII adventure _A Killing Glare_ last week, and
was kinda underwhelmed. It was a fairly standard outing featuring the
return of a couple of characters from Mercurial. However, where Mercurial
presented these people as PEOPLE with actual morals and motives, in this
module, they're just things to be fought against.
I won't print any spoilers on the thing, but I will say that it
centers around urban brawl.
I dunno, after adventures like Mercurial and Harlequin, its kinda
hard to stomach an adventure that isn't so much bad as it is banal. There
is little oppurtunity for roleplaying, and ultimately little motivation
for the PC's to participate in the final confrontation.
Maybe my standards are just to high, but when a company puts out
things like The London Sourcebook, Neo-Anarchists Guide to North America, and
Tir Tairngire, something this lackluster is just a wee bit disappointing.
At least at 8$, the price is right.

PS....and another thing. I REALLY wish they would stop centering
all their adventures around Seattle.
