Phillip Steele ask about the differences between Grimoire's I & II.

Well the basic areas covered are pretty much the same, but the differences in
implementation of many abilities and the additions make it worth spending your
money on.

There is only one notable difference between the two sets of Initiation rules
is that Shamans no longer get bonus Totem dice equal to their Grade (a rather
nasty, almost munchkin-like rule).

For Anchoring, all I can really say is get the book. The rules are just to
complex to explain. You just need to have a copy of them to use them. They
take up four or so pages and they are really needed (in fact you want more).

All the Metamagic powers have had minor alterations to them. I can type you
up an itemized list of differences if you like (I have both Grimoires).

The Metaplane rules have been updated for SRII damage codes.

The spell design section is greatly improved over the ones in Grimoire I. With
the ones in here you can produce any of the SRII spells with very little need
for GM rulings.

The Insect Spirit section of Magical Threats has been expanded greatly and uses
spirit stats comparable to those in Universal Brotherhood as opposed to those
in Grimoire I. There is also a much larger list of Insect Totems and Spirits
including very nice descriptions of their basic philosohpies.

I could go on, but my books are at home. In closing I just have to say, dig
down in your pocket and buy the book, it's worth it. Besides you can take it
home and read it. If your disappointed, and I doubt you will be, just take
it back and get your money.

See Ya in Shadows,
