Anybody out there read Nyx Smith's (He Or She?) SR book Striper Assasin??!!???
It was a fast, On-Edge, Violent, In-Your-Face, HyperAdrenelizine UltraLiteratu
re. The other SR books are good -- but lets face it, not really up to par with
CyberPunk fiction of Gibson, Sterling, Effinger. Nyx Smith, though, has proven
to be in that category of writers. Nyx really has is in tune with what SR world
is about. -- I would give several body parts to collaborate on anything with He
r/Him.
Speaking of wishes and projects, I wish all of you who are working on one
(Robert=Script, Andrew) luck on yours. But I have a question (which I'm sure so
me other people have). How do you get FASA/SR/Tom Dowd stuff that you want them
to see (and take seriously)? And how do they treat you when you do? (I'm got a
short story, progressing on a novel, and have a LA Sourcebook in my head -- I
live in wonderous City of Angels). But I never submitted anything.
Some friends of mine who contributed to Call of Cthulhu and Star Trek got
only the proverbial small-type honerable mention -- which I think sucks. How
does FASA treat contributors.


Also, speaking of Great Shadowworld cities - My vote goes to the ultimate
Megazone of Cyberpunkness:Los Angeles Sprawl (my home town). We're already
on the edge, playing looser-faster-harder, exploding Megacorps and Thrill gangs
, already an ethnic salsa -- If it happens, its happening here.
