The idea that the invae are the insects we know and love comes from a small
knowledge of Latin, and Harlequin's comments in the "Wyrm Talk" story, to
the point that "the humans didn't even know about the invae but seem to be
handling them quite well." Since, at the time the story came out, there
hadn't really been anything based on the Horrors out of FASA (save their
behind-the-scenes fun in Bottled Demon), it seemed obvious that the invae
are the insects.
