I have to admit that I _don't_ like Iron Claw's new rocker abilities. I think
they've got several big problems:

1. They're supposed to be cyberware, but they act magically. It isn't clear
what how they could really work. Is the emotion carried by the words or
the music? Do they work by telephone? CD? Why not?

2. Something that can control people's minds to the point of personal
harm (level 2) has _got_ to be illegal. This matters. A shadowrunner
can fill his body with all sorts of semi-legal and even flagrantly
illegal junk, because s/he's SIN-less or at least keeps his/her head
down. A rocker has a _public_ persona, and so can be found by the
FBI, the IRS, and their friends. If you rent out a football stadium to
give a concert, there will be some cops there.

3. Personally, I'd rather see big rock stars getting there through talent
(even if it's the talent of the promoters and record people) rather than
technogadgetry. YMMV.

4. I think it would make for better role-playing to permit the rocker
to purchase fame (from tech, I guess). Fame is useful, and because
this is fame as a media star, not as a 'runner, it can help the rocker
get away with things other people can't. It can help you avoid
explaining why you're in the Renraku archology without a pass. But
fame can't give you the ability to get the guards to kill each other
instead of you.
