It has been said that the $$$ (or should I say DM) differences in prices
cited in the English SR2 and the German SR2. I disagree.

First of all, there has been little published about the rest of the world,
a fact evidenced by recent discussions on the lack of sourcebooks for
various hometowns. Certainly, there has been nothing published officially
by FASA indicating that runners in Deutschland have a more difficult time
obtaining illicit equipment. In fact, given the state of affairs as indicated
in "Halequin" the obtaining of military-grade weapons should be easier, not
more difficult.

Secondly, As everyone has amply pointed out, Seattle is the central
campaign area supported by the core rules. Since most campaigns are
encouraged to at least start there, we can assume that runners, no matter
where they are played will have had the opportunity to obtain equipment
there. As it is, a variety of characters from various locations have been
played there without limiting their equipment selection based on point
of origin.

But, I don't know if it's a typo or if they kept fine-tuning the system and
the rest of us are gonna get an errata sheet. I'd pick and choose, leaning
toward the English copy. 90,000 is 90,000, regardless of language. Sounds
like a question for the Rev to ask The Lord of the Sith.
