Australia seems to be if it can be done in North America, we can do it in
Australia. The problem with this is that the whole NAN concept is flawed,
so logic can't be really used. Right now there are about 3 million Native
Americans in the U.S. and Canada. But in 2050 there are over 100 million
living in NAN. There are 31 million in the Sioux Nation alone! Obviously,
FASA played loose with the facts in North America. So I see no reason why
anyone writing an Oz book can't dramatically inflate the numbers, power,
and influence of the aborigines. And aboriginal shamans can cure problems
like alcoholism, lack of education, and unemployment, as apparently
happened in America. It's interesting that Indians all seem to be computer
experts all of a sudden. The whole Pueblo Corporate Council seems to be
made up of programmers.
