>>>>>[The Rat is correct in stating that in the end, magic and technology
have much more in common than many people realize. Magic, as presented in
many games is anart to be perfected and a science to be studied. But to
say that one physical law cannot be suspended without dangerously affecting
others is to invoke a dedication to realism that overrides the telling of a
story.

Certainly, by chaos theory, suspending any one law CAN result in all others
collapsing on each other in destruction. But that doesn't mean that they
WILL. Chaos Theory postulates a number of possibilities that are difficult
to predict. But it doesn't deny the possibilities. I believe it is
plausible, within the Shadowrun universe (or any other with magic, for that
matter) for an area to exist where conditions exist resulting in the
suspension or alteration of natual or paranatural laws, and that such
conditions will have some mechanism that may not be observable by the
characters that maintains order.
