>> Description: The AT (AnaTargeter) is a Software Package offered by Challenger
>> Systems. Prerequisites needed for usefull application of AT include cybereyes
>> and 5MP of head memory. .
>> Essentially, the AT overlays a color-coded "map" onto a potential
target.
>> (Bipeds only). This map shows the attacker where the most vulnerable ares are
>> on a humanoids body. The attacker can act accordingly, striking according to
>> his needs, either to disable of kill, or maim.
>>
>> The package costs a mere =Yu0.
Do I really need a map to tell me that the head and groin are vital,
that the chest houses life support, and that limbs usually result in wounds
rather than death? I think not. Also, how does it identify and track
humanoid targets? I think it should take more than a mere 5 MP of memory.
Also, this system inherently provides the effect of a smartgun link.
That should be factored into the price and effect.

>> Game Mechanics: When using AT the Force of the weapon (gun, hand, or other)
>>is increased by 2 (for both physical and stun attacks)
So it works like a smartgun link for ANY attack.

Doc X adds:
>This should add to the skill, not to the power of the weapon. The whole

I agree: A bonus to power is absurd. But rather than raise the
skill, maybe a mod to TNs is in order.

>Also the price is REAL cheap.

I agree.

Final Analysis: The effects of this item, I believe, are already reflected
in the Smartgun Link, Tactical Computer, and other toys in Shadowrun. I
fail to see how it accomplishes its job any differently. It identifies and
tracks targets (like a Tac. Comp) and aids in aiming an attack (like a
smartgun, only it helps in melee as well).
