Wrong. Optical lenses can be seen/cast through, because there is a
direct line of sight between the mage and the target. Which is why
most limos have one-way tinted glass: mages can see and cast out, but
they can't see in.
Electronic lenses break that LoS and cannot be cast through (the
exception being electronic mag eyes which have Essence paid for and
are directly connected to the mage's physical body).
