Impolite? That's Standard Operating Procedure. It's nice to know if your
contact has magicians or cybergoons with him.
As for astral perception, there is not limitation that says you cannot see
through manufactured objects. In fact, physical objects appeare as only a
shadows of their true self when you are astrally perceiving. Seeing through
a pair of shades would be a joke.
