Subject: Alternating rounds in a magazine
Date: Sun, 3 Oct 1993 06:35:18 MDT
First, a point of mnemonics (I don't even know if this is the right word):
A clip is a slang word and incorrect; 'magazine' is the word to use when
describing the small ammunition container. (Sorry, just a pet peeve I picked
up in the Army. Along the lines of "This is my weapon, this is my gun. This is
for killing and this is for fun." WHICH I happened to learn a few years
before "Full Metal Jacket" came out -- Damn I'm old...)

Yes, you can alternate ammo in a magazine. Just don't try to select it
while firing, like Judge Dredd's pistol (what was it called?).

The only modification I would make would be to average out the damage from
all the rounds fired in the burst. Makes sense.

However, if you want to be evil (and we all do ;-) give the player a small
penalty on his target # because of the different propellant loads. That
API-T round might have a little more kick than a standard explosive round.
