>Focus Adept!!!!!!!!! ACK!!!!! What a horrible name!

I agree. I'm working on a better name. Seer seems appropriate so far.

Also, while other magical adepts have an all or nothing access to Astral
Space, it doesn't make sense at times given the magical theory in
Shadowrun, and is something that you fixed with your Alternate Initiation
rules. Also, I can't accept the non-existance of something as precedent; why,
in theoretical terms, should a non-physical adept either be totally denied
Astral Space or be able to completely enter it? Limiting acces to
assensing seems to be an adequate limitation.

>Enter the Sixth World. Spells can be chucked.
Here's what I'm trying to reflect: a magician who is, essentially,
limited to ritual magic. True, one can argue that such a magiker was only
needed in the 5th world, but why can we not argue that some people are
magically active, but weakly enough that they must rely on the rituals
of old in order to work that which is literally a snap for other wizards?
I see a magiker who calls on the spirits of natures and the demons of
Hel (Fire elementals) to prognosticate and gain favors; I see one who relies
more on the knowledge that magic provides, rather than the power over the
temporal and astral world that it offers.

>Unprecidented! Abusive! Just not good! The process to summon elementals
>and nature spirits are just completely different. Someone being able to do
>both is just not in the scope of the rules.

Differeneces
Elementals Spirits
*can attack *No Vulnerability

How about these limitations:
Spirit will not physically manifest for the character.

Now, upon further review I can say that Elementals alone wil fulfil most
of the role that I see Astral beings playing in relation to this character.
However, I still believe that Spirits can serve a purpose. I do not think
being able to communicate with and summon both is abusive, especially if
we come up with logical limitations on the character. Finally, to say that
someone doing both is outside the scope of the rules is nonsense; we have
rules for summoning elementals, we have rules for summoning spirits, we have
rules for summoning elementals and spirits.

>Your going to have to work REALLY hard to come up with limitations to do this.

You know me, a glutton for punishment.

>Given all stuff they can do, this is no adept plus I really don't like the idea
>of someone summoning nature spirits and elementals.

Why don't you like the idea of summoning both spirits and elementals?
