FASA (Yes not just SR) allows ignores the balance of weapons. EarthDawn
has no weapon speed modifiers (Arg!). From a recent discussion on the
GMAST-L list, we determined that weapon speed (from a dagger to an
axe) can play a major role in how quickly an opponent can recover
and attack. I feel that SR might benefit from some sort of weapon
speed factor (especially when you consider: which is easier to bring
to bear, an assault rifle or a light pistol. When you are wired to
hell and back, does it really matter?).
BTW: The length of a guns barrel plays a large role in range AND
delivering force to the target (The real damage from guns).
Maybe one of these days I will develop a conversion from Greg Porter's
Guns,Guns, Guns (3G^3) to SR2.
