Slight correction; while 7.62mm IS smaller that a 11mm round, the 7.62mm
has roughly the same amount of lead (insert material of choice here) as
a 11mm pistol round, and the 7.62mm has MUCH more propellant pushing it.
So from that point of view the 7.62mm is bigger than the 11mm.

True on both counts.

Ah, you are learning much, grasshopper...

These .50 cal sniper rifles are indeed the best. Why? Because they
deliver a massive round at a high velocity with excellent accuracy
(assuming you have the right sights) and range. And you don't need
to silence them. Because by the time the sound reaches the target
his head is covering more area than his skin. Given a choice, you
always want to snipe from at least 1000m away.

There is one .50 cal sniper rifle that is magazine fed, but this
action is still done manually. Ejecting and feeding a second
round adds to the innaccuracy of the weapon, because the firer
unconsciously compensates for it. BTW, the actual bullet from
a .50 cal round masses about the same as the entire 7.62mm round.
It's roughly the size of your index finger.

Bruce Lee is dead.
