Why is it that just because life creates somthing, that automaticly
(automagically?;) limits it to a biosphere? Matter creates gravity, and its
not limited to a matteesphere (oooh, no phlames here :). In fact, its
infinite. SO why couldnt a life generated field like astral energy be
inifinite ins scope, but rather weak the farther from life you get.

This isnt as far fetched and idea as you might think. There are
theorys that say that 'space' (ie 3-D space that we know and loath) is created
by the exsistance of matter, and that out at the edge of the universe, space
is literlly being created out of 'nothing'.

Course, others have said this same point (and probobly better).

SO

Is there anything in the official rules that is against the idea of
astral space as its sortof stated in _Mage: the Acension_ ?
Ie, it exist everywhere, but the farther from the earth you go, the
more powerful the nasties running around get, and the less likely you are of
returning home.
It could be argued that noone (that we know of) in shadow run who has
tried to enter 'space' has been powerful enough to fight off the nasties that
jump you as soon as you leave the protective shell of our mother earth. Who
knows? Maybe Dragons go for joy rides to Mars. Have wild parties there,
dressed as little green men. Maybe a few supra old elves with like initiate
50+ can jaunt around there.
Thus, nothing would prevent you from casting spells in space. BUT as
soon as you became astrally aware, you have to fight off a slew of bad things
that are hanging around just waiting for you to come out of your shell. If
you fail, you do any of the normal expected things (die, go nuts, get
possesed, etc etc.) IF you win tho... you get to run around for 6 hours.
