This was of course the case in SR I. In SR II, the nature of these
spells has changed somewhat. You no longer heal wound catagories, but
instead each success heals one box of damage. And you only get one
attempt. If you fail, you can try again. If you get even one success,
thats it. Not unless the victim is wounded again can you heal them,
and then only to where they were when they took the new wound. One
healing, or treat, attempt per wound.
This is of course party line. If you don't like it, change it. I
myself find that it's balanced and makes the person toting the medkit
feel better about dragging the thing around :-)
