Ok, doing some research on the goodies that are available on the moon.
This is taken from GURPS Terradyne.

LUNAR INDUSTRY
Mining & Manufacturing
Very rich in aluminum, magnesium, silicon, titanium, and calcium.
Also some iron. Low-gav blending priduced much more pure alloys
that can only b produced on the moon or in space because of gravity.
Excellent area for construction of glass, ceramics and concrete
for local construction.

Chemical
Oxygen is available in abundance and can be readily mined from
the lunar topsoil for negligeable cost. Other elements are available
that can be combined into chemical rocket fuel, which is much
cheaper to lift off from the moon than from Earth.

High-Precision Manufacturing
Because of the low gravity and zero atmosphere, highly accurate
scientific instruments can be manufactured, including telescope
mirrors, high-grade microscopic instruments and other sensitive
instruments.

Use of the L4 and L5 LeGrange points as sites for producing
spacecraft allow the moon to be an are for producing fuel and alloyed
building materials for craft.

-----------

As I said, this is from GURPS Terradyne. I consider this book an
absolute must if you want detailed source materials for using other areas
of the Sol system in your Shadowrun game. Has detailed descriptions of:
Earth Orbit (including low, high, and LaGrange orbits)
Moon
Mars
Jupiter (concentrates on Io and Europa)
Saturn (Rings and Titan)
Also some mention of Murcury and Venus, but they are defined as
mainly scientific outposts due to climate.

Also a good chapter on spacecraft with none of that funky hyper-velocity
sci-fi stuff. All set in a heavy-duty corp-owned overtone

This is a MUST(!!!!!) if you want to put this stuff in. As a matter of
fact, I'll add it to the FAQ when it gets done :-)
