Er...when exactly, after 1970 of course, did NATO have an advantage in tech
over the Soviets. We were better at our specialties and they at theirs. We
always had different approaches and tactics and built accordingly.

Take a look at the MiG-29 some time. You will find that we were hyped about
the F-16. The MiG is a better aircraft in just about every aspect. Faster,
better manuverability, bigger paylode, and easier maintinance. It just
didn't carry as nifty missles.
