Well, I'm both a student and an admin here, so I know a little bit about
this.. That's why I brought up the limited resources issue. Our 2 major
limited resources are the following: disk space, and machine/modem
access. Since the CS dept works on limited funds, every account that is
not necessary for majors or students taking classes that require it,
remove the availability of both of the previous resources. I understand
what you are getting at, and I kind of even agree, but this is reality,
so we have to make due with the resources we have, and try to insure that
those resources are available for people who HAVE to have access to them
in order to do work for classes.
