So you've got a cyberdeck, huh?
Have you considered changing the appearance of said deck? Could be Muy Useful.
Picture a rocker with a deck built into an electric guitar that, instead of the
usual keyboard, you could input by playing. kewl beanz.

One of the best suggestions I've seen was to get a specially-built case for the
thing, a frame, mainly, that allowed you to use it normally but protected the
deck from being dropped, stepped on, thrown, shot (as long as it wasn't shot
through one of the acess panels) or otherwise what happens to delicate
electronics in the middle of a firefight.
Then Dikote the case so you can swing it at someone. heh.

as far as internals go, seriously consider triple redundancy, since this _is_
2055, and miniaturization is advanced enough that physical space isn't much of
a problem.

And always always always datasteal to an independent storage, an extra drive
somewhere, not to your internal memory. Too many goddam viruses masquerading as
valuable data...
