Just realized what my sig.file was about and realized that yes, the best demons
are within ourselves. Grendel would fit into the SR world only too well. Hunter
Rose _had_ to be an early PhysAd.

Anyway, back to the thread: Demonic entities (i.e. your friend from the abyss)
wouldn't be any more powerful that any other spirit, as far as I can see.

Unless, of course, you buy into the classical eating-your-soul-makes-them-
stronger routine. Hell, even believing in them might.
GM: "OK, the Lord of the Pit is striding/slithering down the hallway at the
party, clicking his claws and gnashing his fangs through gouts of fire that
spout from his lips."
PC'S: "We close our eyes and attempt to disbelieve."
GM, PASSING OUT 3D6 TO EACH PLAYER: "Allrght, start rolling your new
characters. You've just Graduated from Starfleet Academy..."

(They'd hafta be free spirits that meddle in the affairs of men. Any idiot that
tries to _summon_ one o' these beasties would deservedly get their brain
fried.)

And above all, don't kill 'em. They've been around kajillions of years and know
better that to get killed by some mere humans. (though some of 'em would enjoy
a dramatic death scene--and come back tomorrow. heh.)

WITH ORION'S SWORD THE HUNTER AROSE AND CONQUERED THE WORLD WITH FURY AND GRACE
