--> Question: Since a Vampire's essence changes, does a Vampire
--> Magician have his Magic attribute changeing all the
--> time?? And what if the Vampire was a Physical
--> Adept, would he be constinatly gaining and
--> losing his "magic skills"???
Without even commenting on my opinion of the existance of such things, let
me tell you, having done this; yes.
The magic attribute is equivalent to the essense of the character, and sets
the max amount of points to be spent for a phys ad.
When this att changes, so does his skills, and his magic stat as well. If
he doesn't want to be losing a skill or ability all the time, then he needs
to either tell you which ability goes first or stay really high in essence
all the time.
Now, the editorial comments: I agree with Tom Dowd in his statement that
the game system is not built to, nor can it, support vampire player
characters.
I have done this once, but never again. Doom knows him, and how he is. I
will _never_ allow such a thing again, as it totally throws off any balance
within the party. The idea of a physad vamp is up there with the vampire
shapeshifter physical adept that our resident screw-monger came up with.
(That's 16 points of magic to spend, kiddies. *ugh*)
Editorial comments: OFF.
