was very, very useful.
I assume that all characters generally bounce their calls through two
or three secure anti-tracing services (basically a bunch of phones that
are interconnected by a private network). My more paranoid characters
turn off their portable phones most of the time, and turn them on only
to call in and check with their autosecretaries.
The real jackpot isn't so much the realtime location information, but
the call history and who pays for the numbers, and static phones are
even more vulnerable here than roving ones.
