Yes. What anyone looking at the magician astrally will see is a person with a
spell cast on them. Not that unusual really.

Acording to the DLOH, you can ground a spell through quickenings and active
spells with physical effects. This of course has no basis in the rules with
allow for grounding only through Foci and Dual-Natured Beings.

Quickening would lose all but one of it's advantages, and would be overall
less useful than spell locks since you can't turn them off.

Luckily if you follow the official rules, this is not a problem since you can't
ground through a quickening, which is just a spell afterall.

You cannot mask spells at all. You can mask Foci, including spell locks, but
the spell is still obvious, when active.
