I wondered how long it would be before this happened...

Guys, DON'T BUY THIS! It isn't even worth it! It is a stupid chain letter that
plays off of people's superstitions and fears of the "unknown". IT DOESN'T
WORK.

Please, if you ever see something like this, let it go, and don't perpetuate
the cycle. It wastes bandwidth and time.

The examples of bad luck are coincidence and due to other factors. I will give
you an example... I received a chain letter (hardcopy) about a year ago and
didn't respond. Now, I am failing out of school, I have no money, no job, no
place to really live, and currently my general life is not too great. PLus, I
banged my shin on the desk as I sat down here tonight...

Am I to blame all of this on the fact that I didn't answer a letter? No. It
would be easier, and would remove my responsibility, but the fact is that most
of what has happened is my fault. I made some bad decisions and I'm paying the
consequences.

Besides, some good things have happened to me recently as well... I realized
that I wasn't happy doing what I was doing, and I'm taking steps to change
them... I realized that my reasons for oing to college were wrong, and am
fixing that... I am doing really well in my theatrical hobby, and I found a
five dollar bill on the road this afternoon.

Truth is, when we're looking for good luck, we see it. When we're looking for
bad, we see it. You gotta step back and take a look at the big picture... can
a letter have that much power? Only if you let it.

We make our own luck. And that, chummers, is Chiptruth.
