and 'Vampire: The Masquerade' (Check out 'Moon over Bourbon Street'!)
Does anyone out there have the Bladerunner soundtrack?
If so, what's it like?
I saw 'Bladerunner: The Director's Cut' the other night, not having seen 'Runner
for something like five years, and I caught a documentary on Philip K. Dick,
who wrote the novel 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep', that the film was
based on. He also wrote 'We Can Remember It For You Wholesale', upon which the
film 'Total Recall' was based...
As an aside - Dick said that the makers of the film had captured _perfectly_
the atmosphere, and the look, sounds, and feel of the world he had imagined
when writing the novel 'Do Androids..', but that he wasn't happy with the
storyline, which had ben altered extensively... ( In the novel, Decker kills
replicants to earn money so that he can save up enough to buy a real sheep - He
only has a robot sheep at the moment, and he's terrified that his neighbours
will find out that he isn't wealthy enough to afford a real sheep. Funnily
enough, he ends up buying an ostrich, which gets thrown of the top of his
building by Rachel, in a fit of rage, after he tells her that she's not
human. )
