Brian Allison:
--> Your rudeness is inappropriate. If FASA has an 'explication' (thought
--> that was 'explanation'?) then let them repost it instead of someone here
--> claiming <X> said so.

My rudeness is not only appropriate here, but understandable to ANYONE
who has been on ShadowRN for awhile, or has bothered to read the logs.
My only apology, which I must in all honesty make, is to the members of
the list who were offended by my digital cursing. For that, I humbly
submit, was "inappropriate."

Sir, I see that you have either not received my most recent posting, or
have not troubled yourself to perceive its contents.

--> Either way works. "Less than" is semantically equivalent to "fewer
than".
--> You're an english major? Must not be encompassing the way all English
--> speaking countries speak 'English'.

Lad;
You are an upstart and a twit -- an arrogant and churlish whelp. You are
deserving of nothing but scorn if you seek to belittle my studies.
"Less" and "fewer" are only semantically correct to those who do not
know
better. "Less" is an indication of raw amounts, whereas "fewer" is an
indication of quantity. In addition, we are not discussing the spoken
word here, but the written one, and all persons should endeavour to
communicate with maximum expediency.
In any case, you have, as is your wont, misperceived my point. The last
was meant as a joke, to lighten the atmosphere. If you could not view it
as such, much the worse for you.

You attempt to justify yourself by your ignorance.
Next time, try to make a flame less of a hip-shot: you might fare better.

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
