Yup, and Anchorage is DIRECTLY north (on the line, no less) of the big
island of Hawaii.
And we've been trying to get the Winter Olympics for some time now...
For those of you with maps of AK, and think you might hold a 'run up
there, the proposed site for the Olympic Village is Eagle River (the town),
about 17 miles ENE of Anchorage.
