I actually have used this trick on a bunch of sec guards who didn't see
me. (3 blocks behind them in a truck, w/binoculars). The guards pulled
their guns, I Transform'ed them into pigeons one at a time from back to
front, and as one would fly fairly far away or fairly high... let go of
the spell. Killed 2 of the 8, incapacitated 4 and the others ran away.
Guess sniping the mage was a good idea?
