You could also use detonation cord (also called prima cord). This stuff
has an incredible rate of burn (approx 1300ft./sec.). The US special
forces use it for barrier/obstacle removal. There is an article about
4 years ago in DISCOVER Magazine on this stuff being used illegally in
mail bombs.
