Would it be practical/possible to do the same thing with shot, connecting
them into a web with monowire or razorwire?

It doesn't sound like a derivitive of any pistol _I_ know of. I wouldn't
even know where to start guessing. Figuring out what language group KANG comes from would
be a linguistic nightmare, especially considering that we don't know
if KANG is a personal name, like Colt, or an acronym.
I guess a KANG's a BFG. Big Fraggin' Gun.
