I would like to take this time, my fellow Americans, to address a few
concerns that I have, that have been recently brought to my attention...

I am aware of the Giai Theory. However, there are two points which
_must_ be brought to light. First of all, it is _only_ a way a looking
at the whole environment, a holistic view of things. Taking the earth
and making it into a single organism for environmental purposes.
Secondly, there is very little, if any, reasonable proof there is
something like a Giai-sphere. There is no good, solid, reputable science
to prove the theory.

Second, I have been avoiding the whole magic in concerts debate for good
reasons. The primary one being I actually wasted my money and bought
Shadwobeat when it came out. However, I have been motivated to respond
when the issue of paranoia came up. Do you realize we are being
manipulated every time we turn on our televisions or radios? I am a
Media Arts student, and one of the primary things I have learned in the
long years here in Tucson is that advertising, television, radio, and
film, ALL manipluate us. No, I am not being paranoid. It is the truth.
In one segment of media, advertisement, the people who craft the
commercials use all sorts of what are refered to as "IG's", meaning
Instant Gratification's. That is why we see beautiful women in beer and
car commercials. Why perfume commercials make no sense. Advertisers are
putting in objects that appeal to use, whether or not they have
_anything_ todo with the product. And it works. Plain and simple fact.
People refuse to admit it, because it means they are not in control of
their own lives. But the simple fact remains. We, as a consuming
capitalistic society are being manipulated daily.

Third, I am not a dogmatic believer in only science. I am an agnostic.
If you can prove to me that ghosts exist, then I am willing to believe
you. But I have yet to see ANY positive, reputable proof of _anything_
supernatural, being UFO's, ghosts, or magic (or magick as Shadowdancer
would have it).

That is all my fellow Americans. Thank you for your time, and God bless you.

Erik, a.k.a. the Whistler
