They are a bit powerful here. One in our group snatched up that
_Challenge_ the first few days it was out. We've figured LOGICAL
inferences for the negamage powers:
1) All damaging manipulations that create elemental forces affect the
nega.
2) Every time a magic weapon hits the nega, a resisted test occurs
between
the nega's magic and the force of the magic weapon. Stacked foci
resist
each stacking seperately(So that nifty force 3/9 power/weapon focus,
now
becomes a force 9 weapon focus.... ooops).
3) They are affected by physical illusions that play with the light.

(That is all going on the field of no magic here)

My most powerful mage got jumped by three of these guys in a
corperate hit
team(It's a long story, but needless to say, out GM hasn't concieved
of
subtlety in a loonnng time). They chased us onto the roof of our
building.
We were on one side, they the other. I lobbed the force 9 Hellblast,
throwing everything I had into it. I also BURNED my combat focus.
I blew off half of the top two floors. The negamages just fell down as
the
building disentigrated around them. After that, I realized what they
were
and used Spark. Fried one of 'em really nice. That is when we
bugged out.
I now hate the buggers with a passion.

Going about it this way, it makes it easier to relate to Shadowrun
mechanics.
I would think they get an automatic shielding equal to their magic
attribute,
and the 'shielding dice' count as automatic successes. However they
are
far less muchkinous that way.

How many Nega Mages do people have running around out their. If
magic is rare than a nege mage must be almost a legend. The
biggest problem I can see is that they become every day occurances
in the runs
