I'd say you can, they'd be something like a blowtorch or a flamethrower. IMO
they'd simply cause damage on every action the magician sustains the spell,
using the number of successes rolled on the original Spell Success Test. The
magician would also only resist Drain once, namely while first casting the
spell...
