Oooooohhhhh! This just gave me an evil idea. Kinda similar to
all those bad horror movies where the cult gets together around the
pregnant woman to try to summon the "son of satan" or some other cheesy
evil nasty.
But how about if the free spirit has a cult of followers and
leads a ritual summoning for something...unpleasant waiting to be born.
That could just confuse the hell out of the players.
