That's what I read, yes. As always, I get my knowledge on almost anything
out of books, so I can't say I've any real experience with thermal
imagers... I'll leave the details to the experts, and will only say that, if
you look at it from a common sense standpoint, mist *should* wash out the
picture: it consists of lots of water floating around in the atmosphere, and
that water has a temperature that is different from the objects you're
trying to spot. In effect, the objects are "hiding" behind/in the mist.
