Well, I have thought about that some times, but always rejected the
idea. FASA sure did. Although the catholic church(christianity n general)
does approve of the usage of magic, they are not a tradition in
themselves. But if you want one, make it a totem and do not chnage rules
overmuch. I guess god's shamen would have advantages in casting health
and combat spells(God's mercy and wrath). They would probably summon
normal spirits but their subconscious would "shape" them like angels.
Holy items would still be subject to astral attacks(all magic is) but
then a lot of role-playing and world view comes in, one of the reasons I
would not recommend a God priest. Would could be good is a priest(with al
his beliefs) that is a hermetic or chaman(the oldest religous orders
practiced the cabal you know). Remember that shamanisn is NOT a religion
and that most surviving religion have adapted their tenets to fit magic
in them.
